Ed works in both acrylic and encaustic when ‘making waves’.
ENCAUSTIC
Encaustic painting, also known as hot wax painting, involves using heated resin to which colored pigments are added and painted with. Ed uses metal tools, special brushes, and heat torches to manipulate and sculpt the resin while it is still hot, resulting in a dynamic, colour infused piece of art that is like none other.

ACRYLIC
Acrylic is one of Ed’s favourite mediums because he enjoys the flexibility of appearance, texture, and other characteristics to create something unforgettable. Big strokes on a big canvas balances out the intricate work of encaustic and mixed media.
